COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A shipping problem has forced a change of plans for the Coldwater High School football team’s portion of Purple Week which raises money for the fight against cancer.
High School Athletic Director Todd Farmer says he got a call from the company that makes all of their purple jerseys and tops.
According to Farmer, due to a shipping constraint, the purple football jerseys are still in the warehouse in Florida.
The company tried to bring the jerseys to Delta to fly them to Michigan, however the company is not a TSA approved shipping company and were not allowed to ship the jerseys.
That means a truck will have to be used to ship the jerseys instead.
Farmer says the football team will wear their purple jerseys next week against Pennfield and will present their jerseys after next weeks game.
The festivities will continue on Friday night against Lumen Christi as the cheerleaders will have their purple uniforms.
Members of the cross-country team will present the purple flag and raise the American Flag during the National Anthem.
