BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – As part of Fire Prevention Week, the Bronson Fire Department will once again be hosting a free fire safety open house and pizza party on Saturday, October 15 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
Personnel from the Bronson Fire Department will be visiting with local head start and elementary school students throughout the month of October to teach children what to do if a fire occurs at their home.
Also, fire safety materials funded by donations from area businesses are distributed to local schools during Fire Prevention Week.
The Branch County Fire Safety Trailer will be on site during the open house for children to practice their home-escape plan.
Visitors can also tour fire trucks, try on firefighting gear, and spray water from a fire hose during the family friendly event.
