BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Chargers won their fifth straight game on Friday night as they defeated Addison 32-22 in a non-league contest.
The Chargers got a big win on the road as they came back from 14-0 and 22-20 deficits.
It was the second victory for the Chargers this season over a team that had been ranked in the Division Eight top ten by the Michigan Associated Press.
Riley Laird scored five touchdowns for Union City including four on the ground.
Laird rushed for 156 yards. Eli Payne passed for 174 yards and a touchdown.
The Chargers are now 5-1.
Meanwhile, the Bronson Vikings dropped their fourth straight game as they were beaten at Homer 36-24.
The Vikings are now 2-4 overall and 1-3 in the Big 8 Conference.

In eight person football, The Tekonsha Indians built a 44-0 lead and went on to rout North Adams-Jerome 84-12.
Tekonsha is now 5-1 overall and 4-0 in their conference.
Tekonsha quarterback Wyatt Blashfield passed for 223 yards and five touchdowns. Xander Kilbourn rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns.
