Elizabeth Deanna Palmateer, 51, of Coldwater, passed away at home Thursday, September 29, 2022 under the care of Centrica Care Hospice.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Elizabeth was born July 30, 1971 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Gerald and Sharon (Avery) Frey. She grew up in Union City and graduated from Union City High School in 1989. On February 12, 1994, she married Paul Palmateer in Coldwater. He preceded her in death in 2017.
Elizabeth worked as a waitress for many years, mainly at the Coldwater Big Boy and Coldwater Gardens. Away from work, she enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and collecting all things pig-themed, from towels, to stuffed animals and porcelain figurines.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Amber (Christopher) Hamlin of Coldwater, Cynthia (Joevani Torres) Palmateer of Battle Creek and Seth Palmateer of Coldwater; grandchildren, Jared Grim, Kyle Hamlin, Braylon Hamlin, Landon Hamlin, Noah Torres and Giovani Torres; siblings, Tamara Bailey of Pennsylvania and Christine (Steven) King of Texas; her boyfriend of four years, Jerry Shears; her best friend, Tiffany King; and many nieces, nephews and adopted family.
In addition to her husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Angel Torres; her uncle Butch; and her in-laws, Evert and Ruth Anne Palmateer.
