COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Exchange Club has announced that this year’s Duck Race at Waterworks Park in Coldwater raised over $24,000.
The event held every June has been a staple in Branch County for three decades.
The Exchange Club hosted this year’s event and partnered with ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital Home Health and Hospice.
A quarter of the money raised will go to the Hospice program, 25 percent went to the Exchange Club to share with projects around the county and 50 percent of the profits went to the proposed Child Advocacy Center.
Many local businesses sponsor the event and John Rohloff was credited with obtaining 92 sponsors.
Kathy Dutcher Barone from Dutcher Funeral Home once donated $2,022 in cash for the top prize.
