BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council approved the hiring of Frank Barker on Monday night as the next Deputy Police Chief.
He will succeed Brad McConn who is retiring.
Three interviews were conducted for the position.
All three candidates were internal candidates, one being a part-time officer.
Barker is currently a Sargent with the Branch County Sheriffs Department.
His retirement from the County will be official in January and he will not be able to start full time until February 1st.
