Russell Rossetter, 94, of Coldwater, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2022 at the Laurels of Coldwater.
A celebration of his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation, 1276 Tate Trail, Union City, MI 49094.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow and interment will be in Coldwater’s Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Russ was born September 1, 1928 in Litchfield Township Michigan to Harold and Alta (Curtis) Rossetter. He attended Bronson High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1947-1950.
October 3, 1953, he married the former Violet “Louise” Gallup in Albion. They lived in Springport, Homer and Bronson before settling in Coldwater in 1963. The couple was married for 64 years and raised three children together.
Russ owned and operated a gas station in Homer. He also was employed doing set-up work at Quality Springs in Coldwater. He enjoyed working on cars and lawnmowers, woodworking and fishing. He was hardworking and always busy doing something.
Surviving Russ are his children, Randy Rossetter, Rene Rossetter and David Rossetter, all of Coldwater; grandchildren, Amineh (Chad) Parmer, Amanda (C.J.) Shoemake and Jessica Rossetter; and great-grandchildren Alyssa Parmer, Bryce Parmer, Gabby Parmer, Kayson Rossetter, Payton Shoemake, Alayna Shoemake and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Violet “Louise” (2017), and his siblings, Gerald, Orpha, and Marguerite.
