Robert A. Hayes, 68, of Bronson, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Deacon John Wielgos officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Robert was born April 30, 1954 in Wichita, KS to Henry & Anita (Pugh) Hayes. He served in the US Navy and married Kathleen (Sikorski) Barve on November 22, 1989 in Bronson.
Bob retired from the Michigan Milk Producers Association where he managed the Human Resources Department. He previously worked many years for the Steuben County Co-Op and drove truck for CFI. In earlier years, while still living in Kansas, Bob was the DJ for a Wichita radio station and was known as “Buffalo Bob”.
Bob was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially birds, cooking and had a great love of music.
Bob is survived by his wife Cathy; his children Jennifer (Mark) Robison of Coldwater, Melissa (Jamie Burdette) Smith of Coldwater, Jesse (Amber) Barve of Bronson; his siblings Lynn (Bill) Clark of Prescott, AZ, John (June) Hayes of Rose Hill, KS; his grandchildren Loren, Serena, Whitney, Kaden, Creo, Aricin, Dagan, Journey, Kenric, Ryleigh, Blaike, Chase, Bentley and Mason; great grandchildren Scarlett and Ada Lynn and his very special pets Pipper, Lil’ Bob and Callie-Q.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Hank Hayes, his grandchildren Manny & Byron Smith and his mother and father-in-law Floyd and Marlene Sikorski.
Memorials may be directed to the family to help with expenses.
