Jay Dean May, 67, of Quincy passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 at home.
Funeral services for Jay Dean May will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Reverend Alan Fenstermaker officiating. Interment will follow in Allen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 27 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born on December 8, 1954 in Coldwater to L.D. and Maxine (Schaffer) May. Jay married Cheryl (Wright) on May 1, 2009 and she survives.
Jay graduated from Reading High School in 1973. He retired at Comcast as a Line Technician after working for 27 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed watching the U of M football games.
In addition to his wife, Cheryl, Jay is survived by four daughters, Shelly Semon of Jackson, Bobbie Jo (Wade) Kelso of Harbor Springs, Heather Brown of Fishers, IN, Lindsay (Dan) Dove of Plainwell; one son, Jacob (Meredith) May of Saginaw; two step children, Alicia McGonagle of Boston, Ryan (Tish) Rudy of Coldwater; one brother, Marion (Sue) May of Allen; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Derald and two sisters.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Branch County.
