Scott Dennis Galloway, 61, of Coldwater, died Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital. In respect to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at another date. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Scott was born May 26, 1961, to Roger and Judith (Ruggles) Galloway in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Ferris State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree and then pursued a career in banking. On June 15, 1991, he married Jennifer Lubecki, and she survives.
Scott was an active member in his community working for both Southern Michigan and Monarch banks; he served on the Coldwater Rotary Club and Moose Lodge; and had been a member of the Coldwater Country Club. Scott enjoyed going to the casino and vacationing to Florida, but he also loved the world of sports, whether it was on the golf course or officiating sporting events for many of the surrounding teams. But what Scott cherished above all else was watching his children play and compete in their own sporting events.
He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and beloved son that will be dearly missed by all.
In addition to his wife Jennifer, Scott is survived by his mother, Judith Galloway of Quincy; children Mitch Galloway of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Kenzie (Kurtis) Baker of St. Pete, Florida, Kendall Galloway of Quincy, Jett Galloway of Coldwater; sister Jill (Tom) Vella of Quincy; grandson Brooks Baker, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Galloway, grandparents George (Adelaide) Ruggles, his grandmother Vella Galloway, and in-laws Charles (Virginia) Lubecki.
