State and Congressional representatives to be decided by voters on Tuesday

BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Branch County voters will be deciding on Tuesday who will represent them in Lansing and in Washington.

The next State Senator from the newly drawn 17th District will be from Branch County.

Republican Jonathan Lindsey, who is from Bronson, is being opposed by Democrat Scott Rex Starr of Coldwater

Lindsey trounced incumbent State Senator Kim LaSata by over 8,000 votes in the August G.O.P. Primary.

Republican State Representative Andrew Fink will face Democrat Andrew Watkins for the 35th State House district seat.

Congressman Tim Walberg will take on Democratic challenger Bart Goldberg for the newly created fifth Congressional District.

Fink and Walberg both survived Republican Primary challenges in August.
