COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Downtown Development Authority Board approved three work plans with appropriation requests totaling over $2,200 on Wednesday morning which are the first work plans prepared using templates provided by the Michigan Main Street program.
Among the requests was one for over $1,300 for the placement of a half-page, full color ad in the 2023 edition of the Coldwater Country Official Visitor Guide.
All three work plans were offered by the D.D.A.’s Promotions Committee.
Economic Development Coordinator and Main Street Director Audrey Tappenden said the money would come from the nearly $19,000 that was remaining in the fiscal year budget for committee projects.
Board member Courtney Dirschell said the committee had significant discussions about the ad.
In other business, the D.D.A. Board passed a resolution which updates its bylaws for the first time since 1983.
The updated bylaws reflect board member feedback that was offered during public meetings earlier this year. Tappenden said the biggest changes included board member terms limits and the implementation of the Main Street frame work.
