COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It wasn’t a call Coldwater firefighters can expect on a normal day.
They say a puppy by the name of Whip got into a fentanyl patch that was in a garbage can on Saturday and overdosed.
Local 2555 of the Coldwater Fire Department says on their Facebook page that the owners of the puppy were able to bring her to the fire station where two doses of Naloxone (Narcan) was administered.
The puppy is said to be doing just fine and will be monitored until her follow up with her veterinarian.
The fire department says the incident was a 100 percent accident.
