COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The annual Coldwater Holiday Parade is scheduled to take place Saturday night. This year’s theme is “Toy Trains and Candy Canes.”
Long time Coldwater High School cross country and track coach Jim Bilsborrow and his wife Jackie will be the Parade Grand Marshals.
Parade organizer Karey Farrell says as of Tuesday morning they have about 20 units in the parade.
You can still enter the parade. Forms are available by messaging the Coldwater Holiday Parade Facebook page, at the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce office or at Crescent Comics and Games.
After many along the Halloween Parade route left their seats along U.S. 12 and went into the street in order to get candy, parade organizers are asking those planning to attend the Saturday night parade to stay behind the white lines next to the curb and allow for three lanes of traffic for the parade units.
Saturday night’s parade will begin at 7:30 p.m. at U.S. 12 and Hudson and will head west to the Dollar General store on Pierson Street.
The parade lineup will be on North Hudson starting at 5:30 p.m. and participants are asked to arrive early. The judging of the entrants will start at 6:30 p.m..
