MS Boys Hoops: Legg goes 1-3 against Harper Creek, UC and Bronson split, Q splits with J’Ville

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School boys basketball teams were back in action Wednesday night against Harper Creek.

The eighth grade A team won 37-31. Draycn Foster led Legg with 16 points while Dayton Ennis had 14 points.

The eighth grade B team lost 45-39. Thad Timer had eleven points and seven rebounds while Gabe McCown scored ten points and Austin Stepp had eight points and ten steals for Legg.

The seventh grade A team lost 41-19. Travon Mitchell grabbed nine rebounds for Legg.

The seventh grade B team lost 35-24. Kameron McKinney had eight points and six rebounds for Legg while Carter Curtis had six points and seven rebounds.

Also in boys middle school basketball on Wednesday night, Union City split with Bronson.

Union City won the seventh grade game 53-33. Nolan Chard led the Chargers with 13 points as the Union City seventh graders improved to 5-0.

Bronson won the eighth grade game 57-43. Liam Payne had 16 points for Union City.

Jonesville and Quincy split as well with the Comets beating the Orioles in 56-36 in the eighth grade game. Jonesville’s Caleb Blonde had a game high 23 points. The Orioles were led by Alex Dunn’s 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Quincy’s seventh grade boys basketball team remained undefeated as they defeated Jonesville 43-11. Bryson Estlow led the Orioles with 15 points along with seven steals. Grant Longardner added eight points.
