COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education is beginning the task of searching for the district’s new Superintendent of Schools as Terry Ann Whelan has announced her retirement/resignation effective on June 30, 2023.
The Board will be assisted by the Michigan Leadership Institute during this process. Regional President Dave Killips will lead the search.
According to a statement from the district, “the candidates for this position will be expected to possess and demonstrate many qualifications, skills, and abilities, including the ability to help forge strong partnerships with teachers, students, parents, and the community.”
The first opportunity for students, staff, and community to provide input is via a short survey on the district’s website at coldwaterschools.org. Click on the Superintendent Search tab at the top of the homepage and then click on the Survey link.
The survey will be available at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5 and will close at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9. The district says all input on the survey will be collected anonymously.
