COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The holiday season has arrived and there will be plenty of activities this Saturday in Coldwater.
It all starts with a Barry Ugly Sweater 5K walk/run at 9:00 a.m.. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.. Funds from the event will benefit Christine Barry and her family as she battles cancer.
The Coach Eby Youth and Family Center will be used by the Branch County Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence for the “Pancakes with Santa” supper. It starts at 4:00 p.m. and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there for all of the kids.
The Quincy Drama Society’s presentation of “Who’s Dying to be a Millionaire” will take to the stage of the Tibbits Opera House at 7:00 p.m..
The annual Coldwater Holiday Parade is scheduled to take place Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.. This year’s theme is “Toy Trains and Candy Canes.” Long time Coldwater High School cross country and track coach Jim Bilsborrow and his wife Jackie will be the Parade Grand Marshals.
The annual Jingle Bell Rock Craft Show to benefit Toys for Tots and Coats for Kids will be held at the Saint Paul Lutheran Church on West State Street in Coldwater from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.. Santa will be there from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. Bring in a brand new toy or new/gently used coat to earn giveaways, or donate cash to also earn giveaways.
The Kellogg Community College Sacred Music Certificate Program and the K.C.C. Choirs is inviting everyone to participate in a community-wide sing-along of excerpts from Handel’s Messiah on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Coldwater. A reception with light refreshments will follow the event. Admission is a free-will donation at the door.
