BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School boys basketball teams went 1-3 against Marshall Wednesday night.
The eighth grade A won 51-38 as they improved their record to 6-4. Draycn Foster led Legg with 23 points while Dayton Ennis had 15 points and Landon Dirschell had nine points and six rebounds.
The eighth grade B team lost 44-15. Rylan Edwards and Gabe McCown both had four points. Thad Timer had four rebounds and Austin Stepp had six steals.
The seventh grade A team lost to Marshall 44-40.
The seventh grade B team lost 48-24. Miles Buckley led Legg with 19 points. Kameron McKinney had 4 rebounds.
In other junior high school boys basketball games on Wednesday night, Union City and Quincy split with the Chargers winning the seventh grade game 50-44 while the Orioles won the eighth grade contest 70-44.
Nolan Chard led Union City in the seventh grade with 25 points while Noah Kelley scored 30 points for Quincy. Leading scorers in the eighth grade game were Alex Dunn for Quincy with 31 points and Micah Payne for Union City with 13 points
Bronson was swept by Springport by scores of 60-39 in the seventh grade game and 55-24 in the eighth grade game. Naz Salesman and Owen Losinski both scored 15 points for Bronson in the seventh grade game.
