COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Juvenile Court Administrator Wendy Gensch expressed her displeasure to the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday regarding a lack of action on a request to promote two Juvenile Court employees.
Gensch read from a letter she sent to County Administrator Bud Norman a couple of weeks ago.
Gensch added a grievance was recently filed by her employees because of the delays and compared the situation to a dog chasing its tail.
Norman said there is a reclassification disagreement.
Gensch proposed a restructuring of personnel in the juvenile unit of Probate Court in October. She said at the time they wanted to fill two openings with current employees.
She was proposing Kevin Allman become the Senior Caseworker/Program Manager. The position has been unfilled since Mark Katz left court employment in 2016. Allman has been employed with the Juvenile Unit since 2004. It’s also being proposed that Dalyn Cummings become the Juvenile Register/Grant Administrator. Cummings has been with the Juvenile Unit since 2009.
