COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal boys basketball team broke a five-game losing streak in front of the home fans, holding off Parma Western for a 45-43 victory at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
The Cardinals led 12-9 after the first quarter and 26-23 at the half. They led by 9 after three, 34-26, before the Panthers clawed their way back into contention with a 17-11 final stanza.
Donte Work led all scorers with 18 points and 9 rebounds, while Ayden Dirschell added 12 points and 9 boards.
Coldwater improved to 2-5 overall, 1-2 in the Interstate 8, and will travel to league-leading Jackson Northwest on Tuesday.
