JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals won their second straight game on Tuesday night as they defeated Jackson Northwest 73-62 in an Interstate 8 contest.
Coldwater led for most of the game as they handed the Mounties their first conference loss.
Ayden Dirschell led Coldwater with 24 points and nine rebounds. Donte Work added 12 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Niko Downs finished with 10 points. Downs and Dirschell both had three assists.
Coldwater is now 2-2 in the Interstate 8 and 3-5 overall.
The underclassmen games were split.
Northwest won the JV game 44-36. Bennett McDonald led Coldwater with 13 points and six steals.Julian Thompson grabbed six rebounds.
Coldwater won the freshmen game 38-29. Owen Tappenden filled the stat sheet for the Cards with 18 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and three blocks. Sebastian Ocampo added 10 points. Liam Clark had seven steals.
