COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Cardinal bowlers swept the Marshall Redhawks on Tuesday afternoon in an Interstate 8 match at Midway Lanes.
The Boys Varsity team pulled out a close match winning 16 to 14.
Coldwater won both regular games, 821 to 771 and 788 to 728, taking totals 1609 to 1501. They lost both Baker games, 165 to 143 and 232 to 141, losing totals 397 to 284.
The Coldwater boys were led by Vinnie Beekman with a 192, Austin Johnson a 184 and Chase Rubley a 180.
The JV Boys lost 21 to 9. Coldwater was led by Kahle Weis with a 177 game.
The Girls Varsity team defeated Marshall 19 to 11.
Coldwater split the regular games, taking game one, 691 to 670, losing game two, 806 to 700 and losing totals 1476 to 1391. They took both baker games, 152 to 132 and 135 to 124, taking totals 287 to 256.
The girls were led by Lily Cook with a 175, Ema Shidler a 169 and Ashlyn Caswell a 150.
The JV girls won 22 to 8. The JV girls were led by Kylie Cook with a 137 and Ashlyn Cleckner with a 124.
