WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTVB) – Fifth District Republican Congressman Tim Walberg was among the majority in the U.S. House that voted in a favor of a bill on Thursday which bans the sale of crude oil from the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve to China.
Thursday’s vote was 331-to-97, with 113 Democrats joining all of the Republicans in supporting House Bill 22.
Despite the large number of House Democrats who voted in favor of the bill, it is not expected to get a vote in the Democratic-controlled Senate.
