COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Apex Clean Energy has announced the latest round of Coldwater Solar Community Grants have been made to three Coldwater-area programs and organizations.
Funds were distributed to Animal Aid of Branch County, the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority and the Coldwater Community Center.
The funds awarded to AABC will help cover veterinary services for animals coming into the program, often with illnesses that require immediate treatment.
Coldwater Community Center Chairperson Kathleen Bappert said the grant award to them will go towards installing two ADA-compliant bathrooms and a small catering kitchen to make it suitable for cooking and baking demonstrations.
The grant for the Coldwater D.D.A. will be used for their ongoing improvements at the former Taylor’s Stationers building as it soon become the new home of Branch County Children’s Museum.
With this latest round of grantees, the program has awarded more than $25,000 to date.
