KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals bowling teams wrapped up a busy weekend on Sunday as they competed in the Portage Northern Huskie Invitational at Continental Lanes in Kalamazoo.
The Coldwater girls finished second in the 14-team tournament.
They qualified in fourth place and then defeated Otsego and Sturgis before losing to Portland by just nine pins in the finals.
There was also a singles portion of the tournament. Lily Cook placing 9th out of 71 girls with a 3 game series of 475.
The boys also qualified for match play with a fourth place finish in the qualifying games.
The Cardinals lost to Sturgis in the first round and finished fifth for the tournament.
Kameron Corwin rolled a 577 series to finish seventh in the singles portion of the tournament while Vinnie Beekman rolled a 567 series to finish ninth.
Coldwater also competed last Friday in the Bronson Viking Invitational.
The Girls qualified fourth for match play and they ended up finishing in fourth place.
The boys finished in fifth place.
