COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There will be some changes this year in the City of Coldwater’s annual Winter Fest celebration.
Unlike in the past when the event was held downtown, Coldwater Community Enrichment Director Julie Santure says all of the activities will take place in Heritage Park on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
Ray Sebastian from the Kiwanis Club says the Cardboard Sled Races with different age categories will return this year.
More information on Winter Fest can be found at coldwater.org.
The downtown area will not be left out of winter time activities. Coldwater’s Main Street Program will host a new event called “Love Local” on the following Saturday, February 04, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
The Valentines Day themed event will feature a soup and chili cook-off, downtown deals, live music, a photo booth and a card making station.
The event is free to the public but those who want to taste the soup and chili offerings will have to pay $5 for a ticket.
Guests will be able to enjoy live piano music at Museum Gallery, make valentine’s cards at the Hope Café, create unique bookmarks at the library, pop into a photo booth, and vote for their favorite storefront window decorations.
Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day of the event at the Blush and Ivory Bridal Company.
