COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Lady Cardinals returned to their intense defensive ways in a dominating first half on their way to a 50-26 victory over Harper Creek at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
Coldwater led 34-10 at the half and cruised in the second to up their record to 10-1 overall and 5-1 in the Interstate 8.
Freshman Mya Porter led all scorers with 11 points and added five rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Elli Foley was also in double figures with 10. Elli Anderson scored eight points while Jaelah Sloan added seven points.
Coldwater goes on the road for the first time in the new year when they travel to Lumen Christi on Friday.
Harper Creek won both of the underclassmen games. The Beavers won the freshman game 23-15. Coldwater was led by Madison Stumpf with six points.
Harper also won the JV game 35-12. The Cards were led by CeeCee Velazquez with five points and Grace Riley with three points.
