QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings and Union City Chargers showed why they are ranked in the top ten in Division Four on Wednesday night as they both won a pair of Big 8 Conference matches in a double dual meet hosted by Quincy.
The Vikings defeated the host Orioles 52-25 and Jonesville 51-18.
Meanwhile, Union City edged Jonesville 37-36 and defeated Quincy 53-26.
Eight Bronson wrestlers went 2-0 for the night. They were Aiden Fill (113), Owen Kimmons (120), Layne Knisely (138), Gabriel Erwin (144), Drew Seekman (150), Mason Lindsey (157), Carson Norton (165) and Jacob Britten (175).
Seven Union City wrestlers earned a pair of wins. They were Logan Mears, Brooklynne Schley, Landyn Crance, Aidan Taylor, Montana Connell, Colton Russell and Grady Iobe.
Double winners for Quincy were Jacob Reif (132) and Hamilton Speith (215).
Also in wrestling on Wednesday, it was a tough night for Coldwater as they were beaten in a pair of Interstate 8 matches. The Cardinals lost to Hastings 79-0 and to Jackson Northwest 81-0.
