COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A 911 project maintenance contract between Branch County and ACD Telecom was brought forward to next week’s meeting by the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday.
ACD Telecom was the consultant for the recently completed Branch County 911 project.
Branch County Administrator Bud Norman said the original proposal was for five years with about 22 coverage items while the county countered with two years for about 11 coverage items.
911 Communications Director Bob Swick said ACD Telecom is currently working with the county concerning a communication problem Michigan State Police radios are having with the 800 megahertz system.
The 911 Board has already approved the proposed contract. The funding would come out of the 911 Budget.
