BRANCH COUNTY, MI – Coldwater outscored Lumen Christi 13-2 in the first quarter and 15-3 in the third as they doubled up the Titans 35-17 Friday in Jackson.
Mya Porter led all scorers with 17 points and added 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals before exiting the game at the end of the third with a wrist injury. Elli Foley had 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals as the Cardinals improved to 11-1 overall, 6-1 in the Interstate 8. They have a non-conference game at Three Rivers on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Bronson remained undefeated on the season and took over sole possession of first place in the Big 8 with a 62-42 win against visiting Springport on Hall of Fame Night. The Vikings and Yellow Jackets were tied atop the league standings coming in.
Aubree Calloway had a game-high 22 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 6 steals, and 3 blocks. Haylie Wilson added 20 points and 8 steals, and Helena Eley had 11 points and 9 boards as Bronson improved to 11-0 overall, 7-0 in the Big 8. They will host Buchanan, the team that knocked them out of regionals last season, on Monday night.
Also in Big 8 girls basketball on Friday night, Concord defeated Union City 53-34. The Chargers are now 2-11 overall and 0-7 in the Big 8. Reading defeated Jonesville 38-31.
