COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a bid of nearly $32,500 from Lakeland Electronics on Monday night to update the current video surveillance system at the Henry L. Browne Municipal Building.
I.T. Director Patrick Pool said the upgrade was needed to improve and maintain a safe and secure working environment and to protect city and utility owned resources.
Pool told the Council the old video system did its job over the last two decades.
But outside incidents such as the eagle being vandalized and motorcycles getting pushed over were not caught.
The project was budgeted for the 2022-2023 fiscal year and will be shared with the Coldwater BPU. The city’s portion comes to over $16,000.
