The Coldwater Early Bird Exchange Club has donated $4,000 to the Branch County Child Advocacy Center.
The gift was made possible with funds from the Club’s third year of “Cookies for a Cause”. Early Bird members baked, boxed and sold nearly 700 dozen cookies, an increase of 275 dozen over 2021.
The check for the BCCAC was presented to Yolanda Lozano at the Club’s January 17 meeting.
Lozano is a forensic interviewer for the Advocacy Center, which is operated by the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.
The Center is located in Coldwater across the street from the Naomi Davis Shelter House in the former Hope Network Building. It provides services in decisions made toward the investigation, treatment and prosecution of child abuse cases.
