COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal bowlers swept Jackson Lumen Christi on Thursday afternoon at Midway Lanes.
The Varsity boys got back on the winning track with a 26-4 victory. Coldwater took both regular games 840 to 789 and 892 to 761, winning totals 1732 to 1550. They also won both Baker games 177 to 146 and 196 to 137, taking totals 373 to 283.
The boys were led by Vinnie Beekman, who had a great night, shooting a 196 and a 244 for a 2 game series of 440, Brady Hawver a 227 and Chase Rubley a 202.
The Varsity girls bowled a short handed Lumen team and won 29 1/2 to 1/2.
The Coldwater girls won both regular games 679 to 398 and 832 to 383, taking totals 1502 to 781, taking both Baker games and total 270 to 212.
Coldwater was led by Ema Shidler with a 222 game, and Lily Cook with a 178 game.
The JV teams split lane time as Lumen had only a boys JV team. The teams combined to win 23 to 7.
The JV’s were led by Zach Robison with a 145 game.
