Monica A. Wyss, 85, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 from 4-7:00 PM, with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Monica was born November 16, 1937 in Decatur, IN to Lewis & Clara (Heimann) Rumschlag. She married Clifford J. Wyss on June 1, 1957 in Decatur, IN. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2020.
Mrs. Wyss worked in banking for several years. She had worked for First National Bank, National City, First of America and PNC. She was an active member of St. Charles Church where she served as an Extraordinary Minister and sang in the church choir. She belonged to the Sweet Adelines along with many other service organizations, where the position of treasurer always found its way to her. Monica enjoyed knitting and crocheting, but treasured most, her time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
Monica is survived by her children Joanne French of Grand Rapids, Carolyn (Joel) Grigg of Massena, NY, Janet (Kirk) Wiersma of Schoolcraft, Mary (Lawrence, Sr.) Delgado of Dover, DE; her siblings Catherine Rumschlag of Abingdon, VA, Jean Rumschlag of Milwaukee, WI, Tom Rumschlag of Ft. Wayne, IN, Louis Rumschlag of Decatur, IN; her grandchildren Kathleen French, Daniel (Jennifer) French, Teresa Grigg, Stephen Grigg, Lawrence (Heather) Delgado, Jr., Monica (Mike) Tesno, Joseph Delgado, Madeline Delgado, Cecilia Delgado, Jared Wiersma; her great grandchildren Ainsley & Easton French, Anya Grigg, Zachary Levan, Noah, Ezra & Natalie Delgado, Ronald, Beau, Benjamin & Logan Tesno. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters, son-in-law James French and great great granddaughter Samantha Tesno.
Memorials may be directed to St. Charles Church or Tibbits Opera House.
