BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Bronson wrapped up an undefeated season in Big 8 Conference dual meets on Wednesday night as they defeated Concord 78-3 and Homer 71-6.
The two wins improved the Vikings overall record to 31-3.
Double winners for the Vikings were Aiden Fill (113), Owen Kimmons (120), Perry Lake (126), Logan Long (132), Layne Knisely (138), Gabriel Erwin (144), Mason Lindsey (157), Carson Norton (165), Jacob Britten (175), Jacob Dixon (190), Matthew Blankenship (215) and Jayden Post (285),
Union City also picked up a pair of Big 8 Conference wins on their Senior Night as they defeated Homer 43-29 and Concord 60-18.
The night was highlighted by a personal milestone for Union City’s Landyn Crance as he recorded his 100th career victory.
Quincy earned a split in their final Big 8 Conferences matches of the season which were held at Jonesville. The Orioles defeated Springport 53-21 but lost to sixth-ranked Reading 36-31.
It’s believed it’s been 23 years since Quincy has defeated Springport in wrestling.
Quincy’s Davin George recorded a personal milestone as he earned his 100th career victory.
George becomes the second Quincy wrestler to earn 100 career wins this season. He along with Chayse Jensen, Caleb Rose, Jacob Reif and Landon Bearden were all double winners for the Orioles on Wednesday night.
