Alice was born October 27, 1939 to Clarence and Leona (Bills) Butters in Homer, MI. She married the love of her life, Donald Clark on June 29, 1957 in Coldwater. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2009.
She held various careers from babysitting to her time at Shaw Shoe Factory, Coldwater Regional Center, Salga Manufacturing, and ultimately retiring from Borg-Warner. Alice was a dedicated, hardworking woman, but also knew when to take time to enjoy life; she liked crocheting, sewing, and reading. Alice also enjoyed bowling, poker, and traveling; especially trips to the casino or camping up north with her family at their favorite places St. Ignace and Mackinaw.
She held many passions, but what Alice loved above all was time well spent with her family, most of all her grandchildren and her beloved Yorkie, Sabrina. Her tender heart and gentleness will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Alice is survived by her daughters Teresa (Jason) Quimby of Mohawk, TN, Kathy Jo Tanner, Debbie (Luke Alexander) Platter both of Coldwater; her sisters Mary Ann (Bill) Fisher, Colleen (Mickey) Wendorf both of Coldwater; her grandchildren Jason (Kerri) Gallatin, Leanne (Chris Traskos) Gallatin, Brennan (Noelle) Tanner, Spensor (Leanne) Tanner, Logan (Tyler) Winright, Mackinzie Platter, Madison Platter; her great grandchildren Bryson, Leila, Carter, Chace, Leona, Ellie, Willa, Alaina, Teddy, Gracie and three more great grandchildren on the way; her loving nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law’s Linda Clark and Evelyn Clark, her hospice caregiver Danielle and her dearest Yorkie, Sabrina.
In addition to her husband Donald, Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Jeannie Stempien, Judy Cole and her brother William Butters.
Memorial donations are suggested to Elara Hospice or the Humane Society of Branch County.
