BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings handed the Concord Yellow Jackets their first loss in the Big 8 Conference with a 50-45 road victory on Friday night.
Saylor Wotta led Bronson with 17 points while Kam Brackett had 13 points and Boston Bucklin added 10 points.
The Vikings avenged a 59-42 home court loss to Concord on December 15 and tightened up the race for the Big 8 boys basketball championship.
Concord and Jonesville are now tied for first at 7-1 while Reading is one game back at 6-2.

The Union City Chargers won their second straight as they defeated Springport 45-32 on a night the 1975-76 Chargers basketball team was honored as a Union City Team of Fame.
Jeremy Zehr led a balanced Union City attack with 11 points while Landon Galvin added 10 points. The Chargers are now 2-6 in the Big 8 and 7-8 overall.

The Reading Rangers used a 15-9 fourth quarter to pull out a 52-48 victory over arch-rival Quincy on Friday night.
Ashtyn Morris led Quincy with 19 points and 16 rebounds. The Orioles drop to 3-5 in the Big 8 and 8-6 overall.
