PLYMOUTH, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School gymnastics team traveled to Plymouth Canton on Saturday for what is known as the “Pre state meet”.
Eighteen schools from throughout the state were represented in the invitational.
Coldwater had a small group of gymnasts in an effort to rest and recuperate some of their team members.
Rockford (141.7) claimed the top honors. Coldwater posted their sixth straight team Regional qualifying score with the small squad, tallying 126.045 for sixteenth place.
The biggest surprise and highlight of the day came from junior Charlotte Calhoun as she finished on the top of the podium in the uneven bars.
She claimed the top honors in Division 2 in a field of more than 130 competitors. She was ninth in the floor exercise and fifth in All-Around with a score of 34.775 points.
Kiraly Schoenauer was 11th on the uneven bars.
