QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings wrapped up the Big 8 Conference championship on Saturday by winning the conference meet hosted by Quincy.
The Vikings finished first at the conference meet with 169 points. Union City finished second with 161 ½ points while Quincy was third with 143 ½ points.
The Chargers and Orioles finished second and third respectively in the final conference standings.
The Vikings had four champions while three others finished second. Earning championships for Bronson were Owen Kimmons (120), Layne Knisely (138), Carson Norton (165) and Jacob Britten (175). Runner up honors were earned by Aiden Fill (113), Perry Lake (126) and Drew Seekman (150).
Union City had five individual champions while two others finished second. Winning conference titles for the Chargers were Logan Mears (113), Landyn Crance (132), Colton Russell (150), Maddox Miller (157) and Grady Iobe (215). Runner up honors were to Aidan Taylor (138) and Montana Connell (144).

Quincy had two champions. Davin George captured the 190 pound championship while Chayse Jensen took the crown at 106 pounds. Second place finishes were earned by Caleb Rose (120), Jacob Reif (132) and Hamilton Speith (215).

Meanwhile, Coldwater finished sixth and had three wrestlers place at the Interstate 8 Conference meet. Tre’ a Miller won the conference championship at 138 pounds. Maverick Johnson was third at 150 pounds while Yahya Umari was fourth at 106 pounds.
