COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Quincy split with Homer on Monday at Midway Lanes as the Orioles won the boys match 28-2 but dropped the girls match 17-13.
The Quincy boys jumped out early capturing all 10 baker points, escaping with a 265-253 performance. The boys then took 4 of 5 in game one of singles with Brady Harper leading the way with a 209. Also scoring for the Orioles was Dave Milliman 143, Tyler Short 169, and Maverick Walp with a 169 as well.
Game two of singles belonged to Short with a 213, Walp with a 183, Grant Wright with a 146, and Carson White with a 167. Quincy shot 807 and 884 taking overall 1691-1528.
The Quincy girls struggled out the gate dropping baker one with a 99 but rallied late in baker 2 to take a 1 pin win 110-109.
Quincy came out firing in game one of singles with scores from Kaitlyn Otis 107, Ella Worden 110, and Madison Wineland 122. Quincy outshot Homer 600-556.
Game two belonged to Homer as Quincy tallied just 2 points with Wineland shooting a 145 and Jenica Kaser a 140 to score for Quincy. The girls went on to drop the contest 1183-1202.
Quincy’s J.V. boys team defeated Homer 28-2. Tyler White rolled a 164 while Dylan Sadger had a 157.
Also in Branch County high school bowling on Monday, Bronson swept Schoolcraft winning both the boys and girls matches by scores of 28-2.
The Bronson boys were led by Phoenix Haviland with games of 198 and 178 for a 368 series. Nic Cranson rolled a 200.
Morgan McConn had the high game for the Bronson girls with a 202. Hadassah Bloom had games of 160 and 193 for a 353 series.
