KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals came back from a 22-20 halftime deficit to defeat Kalamazoo Loy Norrix 56-44 on Tuesday night in a non-conference boys basketball game.
The win improved Coldwater’s record to 10-7.
Ayden Dirschell led the Cardinals in scoring with 20 points. He also had nine rebounds.
Donte Work had a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Elijah Sloan and Niko Downs both scored nine points. Downs also dished out five assists and had four steals.
Loy Norris swept the underclassmen games. They won the J.V. contest 76-42. Kaden Lewis had 11 points for the Cards while Jackson Reilly had nine points. They both had four rebounds. Drew Ennis had three steals.
Loy Norrix took the freshman game 50-27. Luke Stevens and Kayden Roby both had five points for Coldwater.

Quincy lost a non-conference home game against the Morenci Bulldogs 71-60.
Morenci easily eclipsed the most points allowed by Quincy all season which was 53 against Sand Creek.
The Bulldogs were on fire all night, draining 12 triples including nine by Landon Mansfield.
Sam Sawyer and Grant Carter both scored 13 points. Nash Fitton had 10 points and seven rebounds
The loss drops Quincy to 9-8 overall.
