Yvonne was born March 3, 1934, in Ashland, Wisconsin. She enjoyed her younger sister, Jean (Stuer) Woodward, and living in that blue collar city on the banks of beautiful Lake Superior. Her experiences there were largely positive and she reminisced often with family and friends about her childhood. Following High School, she attended The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota where she earned her Nursing Degree and was The Valedictorian of her class. She was an extraordinary care giver throughout her life as a nurse, mother and friend. “Evie” was always generous with her hugs and would light up a room with her contagious smile.
Yvonne lived a life filled with faith, family and friends. She and her late husband were active, longtime members, of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Union City. As important as church membership was to Yvonne, her adulthood was mostly spent loving, guiding and supporting her family.
Surviving Yvonne are sons, Joseph (Beatrix) Lindquist of Hebron, IL, Bryan (Kim) Lindquist of Ramsey, MN; daughter, Joanna Lindquist of Tekonsha; sister, Jean (Stuer) Woodward, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert; her parents; a son, Stephen Lindquist; a daughter, Jeannie Pudak, a grandson, Ricky Pudak; five infant children; John, Anne, Yvette, Patrick and Maria.
