COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – What has been a staple for the agriculture community in Branch County for over 50 years returns on Monday
The 54th edition of Branch County Farmers Day will be held at the Dearth Community Center in Coldwater between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m..
MSU Extension in southwest Michigan will be offering educational sessions to farmers, agribusiness representatives and community members.
Dave Thompson from M.S.U. Extension says the Branch County Agri-Business Council is sponsoring the event.
Thanks to the generous support of the Agri-Business Council and the United Dairy Industry of Michigan, the cost of this program is free.
In addition, pesticide applicator training will take place.
The Branch Junior Livestock Association will be offering training sessions which are required for students who want to show animals at the Branch County Fair.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced organizers to cancel the Farmers Day events in 2021 and 2022 that were scheduled to be held at the Branch Area Careers Center. Alternative educational sessions for farmers and agribusiness representatives were held instead at the Dearth Center.
