Marcia J. Mock, 82, of Bronson, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
The funeral service will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Deacon John Wielgos officiating. Interment will follow at Bronson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Marcia was born September 10, 1940 in Reading, MI to Horace & Kathareen (Murray) Gowthrop.
She married her good friend and the man she loved dearly, Norman G. Mock January 3, 1970 in Colon, MI. Together they made a loving home for 8 children and are proud of their many grand and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Mock had a long, rewarding career with the US Postal service. She enjoyed talking to and servicing the community for 20 years. She served as Postmaster in Leonidas, Centreville and Colon, retiring in 2000.
She was a member of the Bronson American Legion and enjoyed dancing, shopping in Chicago and traveling, especially to Germany, Poland and Paris. She was an avid birdwatcher and had a great love of all animals. Her dogs Duke and Scooter were most special, along with Tom the orange tabby.
Marcia is survived by her husband Norman; her children Tim (Carolyn) Weage of Bronson, Tamara Warner of Bronson, Tracy Weage of Battle Creek, Teanna (Scott) Jones of Sparta, Su Diamond of Bronson, Brian (Louanne) Mock of Sylacauga, AL, Connie Slack of Bronson; her siblings Linda (Marlin) Shopbell of Neenah, WI, Judy (Ron) Hart of Battle Creek; 14 grandchildren, many great and great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Jollif.
