UNDATED (WTVB) – Three teams will represent Branch County at next weekend’s MHSAA Bowling Finals after their respective finishes at Regionals on Friday.
At the Division 2 Team Regional at Continental Lanes in Kalamazoo, Coldwater’s girls team came away with a score of 2641, good for a third-place finish. Marshall won the Regional with a score of 2797, while Tecumseh was second with 2761. The top three finishers in each Regional advance to next Friday’s Team Finals, which will be hosted by Century Bowl in Waterford for Division 2. The Cardinal boys placed tenth with a team score of 2870.
At the Division 4 Team Regional at JAX 60 in Jackson, Bronson’s boys team finished second with a team score of 3157, just behind first-place Grass Lake’s total of 3252 and five pins ahead of third-place Lumen Christi. The defending state champion Viking girls placed third with a total of 2568; Jonesville won the Regional crown with 2880, and Hanover-Horton was second with 2624. Both Viking teams will compete at the Team Finals next Friday at M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek.
Regionals continue today with Singles competition, except for the Division 3 Regional hosted by Quincy at M-66 Bowl. It was pushed back a day due to a power outage. Team competition is scheduled for today, with Singles competition on Sunday.
