Daniel “Driver” Posante, 66, of Quincy, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at his home. He was born September 19, 1956 in Cleveland to Raymond and Dorothy (Spilker) Posante. He married Kimlene “Kim” Strouse on April 4, 1981, and she survives.
Driver grew up in Cleveland and moved to Quincy when he was 12 years old. He was the owner and operator of Posante Trucking in Quincy. Driver was a skilled diesel mechanic and loved tinkering with anything that had a motor. He especially enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles.
Surviving besides his wife, Kim are four children, Nicole Posante of Tampa, FL, Shannon (Frank) Santiago of Melbourne, FL, Danielle (Brock) Badders of Quincy and Jeri Gundrum of Quincy; grandchildren, Ra Ra, Faith, Fawn, Jaiden, Frankie, Kainen, Brayson and Kalon; and siblings, Steve Posante of Coldwater, Dorothy Barrow of Coldwater, Eva (Dan) Speaker of Union City, Reyne (Pete) Yockey of Coldwater, Gert (Jack) Longrey of Coldwater and Raymond Posante of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, little Dorothy Ruth in infancy and brother, Mark Posante.
A graveside service for Daniel “Driver” Posante will be held Friday, March 3, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Fisher Hill Cemetery in Quincy with Pastor Mark Case officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
