COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A request from MI Trail Tree Village Property, LLC to consider a Special Land Use Permit for the construction and operation of a 76-unit manufactured home park expansion between Seeley and Smith Streets is on Monday’s Coldwater Planning Commission agenda.
Plans call for the units to be built on a vacant parcel of land that totals just under 18 acres.
A special land use permit is required for this project. The property is currently zoned A-A One-Family Agricultural Residential District.
This residential development is located near a large employment cluster in the northern industrial park; schools in the Kellogg Community College Grahl Center, Pansophia Academy, the Branch I.S.D. Careers Center and Jefferson Elementary School. There is also recreation available in Optimist and Jefferson Parks.
Future nearby public amenities include a potential small park and small non-motorized trail directly west of city-owned properties on Thompson Blvd.
This site will be accessed primarily through a Seeley Street drive.
A public hearing will be held before action is taken by the Planning Commission. Since this is a special land use application, the petition does not require City Council review or approval.
