COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After serving as principal at Coldwater High School for the past 15 years, Bill Milnes announced Monday this will be his last year in that position.
In an email to parents, Milnes said, “As a 1986 graduate of CHS and life-long Cardinal, it is my hope that I have somehow been able to inspire others to grow beyond what they may have thought was their potential and to feel the same indescribable love that I have for this school and the community. I am sending this message to make you aware that after 15 amazing and thankful years as the principal of CHS, I have made the personal and professional decision to make this my last year here at Coldwater High School.”
Milnes said as planning continues for the 2023-2024 school year, he is dedicated to helping to ensure a smooth transition for the next high school principal.
Prior to taking the Coldwater High School position, Milnes served as principal at Quincy High School.
The school district is also making the transition in the superintendent’s office this summer. Paul Flynn, the current Superintendent of Schools in Sandusky, Michigan, was named last month to replace the retiring Terry Ann Whelan, beginning July 1, 2023.
