COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals girls softball team extended their winning streak to four games with a doubleheader sweep of Gull Lake on Tuesday evening by scores of 4-2 and 4-1.
Coldwater won game 1 thanks to a three run fourth inning. Brooklyn Kerry and Maren DeBeau had RBI doubles while Karlie Knisely had an RBI single. They got an insurance run in the sixth on a Morgan Dancer sacrifice fly.
The Cardinals got their second game runs on an error, a sacrifice fly by Kerry and a two run single by DeBeau.
Alexis Bills and Kenzie Scheid were the winning pitchers. The sweep gives Coldwater a record of 4-2.
The Coldwater J.V. girls softball team also recorded a sweep on Tuesday as they defeated Fowlerville 18-3 and 15-0. MacKenzie Searing and Mya Porter were the winning pitchers.
