BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings opened up defense of their girls softball Big 8 Conference championship on Tuesday with a doubleheader sweep of Concord as they defeated the Yellow Jackets by scores of 15-0 and 12-1.
Addison Harris was the winning pitcher in the first game that went three innings. Ashlynn and Addison Harris along with Brealyn Lasky, Lydia Wells, Paige Roussey and Kaylee Wilber all had two hits. Wells also drove in two runs.
Ashlynn Harris was the winning pitcher in the second game as she pitched the first three innings. Lasky led the offense with three hits including a triple.
Coach Becky Grey said, “It is always good to get league wins. Everyone was able to play and contribute to our wins. We have to continue to improve each day. We have big games ahead of us on Friday and Saturday.”
The Vikings are now 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the Big 8.
